Before that, Phemie played in bands from high school on including a 4 year stint in a professional alternative rock band that worked fulltime and had a total blast.  After acquiring a degree in Music Ed and Voice Performance, Phemie has looked to writing music as a way to fully express her musical passion. She loves the people of SL and their open minded attitudes toward originals. She opened the Firefly in 2008 and features original artists of the highest caliber. She plans to continue to write and sing and play and better herself along the way.
12pm slt Russell Eponym

Russell is a musician, songwriter, and poet, and his many fine compositions have become regularly requested at his performances.  His songs have an enchanting, lyrical quality and musical flow which have been likened to the sounds of 'summer mountain streams'.  His repertoire also contains many songs by other writers such as Donovan, Dylan and Knopfler, but Russell always manages to recreate something in his inimitable style.  Russell also enjoys close contact with his audiences and will often take a few minutes to tell a story or to explain the meanings in a song.

Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Quantamis Navarathna streams live from Central Texas. By the age of 15, he was writing & performing his own compositions and has continued to play with many bands over the years.
Quan’s smooth vocals accompanied by flawless guitar leaves the listener wanting more. This artist’s versatility is reflected in the many genres in which he delves. His music is a blend of acoustic folk rock, soft rock, alternative, Spanish classical and renaissance with a bit of Texas country mixed in for good measure.
In the words of Traci Nubalo:
"He brings to us the heart of the true poet. He has a strong commitment to the craft of writing and performing; he’s resolute in his willingness to do what it takes to offer his audience 100% every time he hits the stage."

I began writing ballads and love songs while growing up in rural upstate New York.  My songs reflect an early country influence, a tinge of the blues, and my love of folk type  ballads.
After many years, I've found my way back to writing and public performances in the Portland, Oregon area and through many venues via the virtual reality of the Second Life platform. I perform original work, James Taylor covers and more.
8pm slt DennyMac & Beth Odets

DennyMac will blow you away with his acoustic guitar, but add Beth Odets' incredible fiddle and you're looking at potentially best music event in Second Life!
DennyMac has been playing for so long that his callouses have callouses!  After years in rock bands  he has returned to his first love, acoustic fingerstyle guitar.  His amazing skill and deep soulful voice will leave you wanting more.  Heavily influenced by Bob Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary, Kingston Trio, James Taylor, the Beatles and of course Paul Simon, Larry Carleton, Richie Havens and many others, he plays your favorite covers as well as moving originals.  Come have a listen, you'll leave smiling.
Beth Odets  (Beth Brown in RL)  has been playing violin for 27 of her 37 years on earth! She was also one of the first live musicians in Second life (2005). In RL She plays Classical Violin and Fiddle professionally.

You will often find Beth *Dual* streaming (also known as relay casting) with other musicians in SL. She is VERY well known for her  ability  to jump into pretty much *any* musical situation with her violin...

His father sold records and managed a band, while Rusty took classical piano lessons for eight years.
Eventually Dan began experimenting with podcasting in the summer of 2005 and his first official podcast was recorded September 11th, 2005.  The podcast, RoseDrop Media Circus, was eventually streamed into SL at Pannie's on Sunday nights until SL gigs took over.
